Designing your dream customer

Really your product isn't the most important thing. Your customer is. Start with a customer in mind, then tailor your product and marketing to that customer - that's a pathway to real sales.

Get specific and make a product that someone will LOVE and OBSESS ON... One of the biggest problems creators have is being too general. "Moms will love it. Kids will love it. Men will love it" - there's no typical mom, kid or man. And if your product is just made for 'men' how will anyone ever find it among all the other things for 'men.' You have to get specific and make a product that someone will LOVE and OBSESS ON and pay money for. It has to be just for them.

So let's think about your dream customer. It's ok if you don't have a product to sell yet. In fact, that might be even better. Who would you like to sell to?

Find a picture of your person (use Google images). Give them a name.
